There was a time where I sat on MySpace all day and played MySpace Mobsters.
I've run into a few good browser games (i.e Fallen Sword, Neopets), but not many good browser games on Facebook.

i like it cuz its like a resturant sims, cept u dont have to spend every single moment clicking on your characters to tell them what to do since everything is automatic. right now i only have a small resturant with 4 workers. but soon ill have enough money to create a big *** resturant like those guys on the "gourmet street" with like 10 workers, an arcade, a bathroom, and all kinds of expensive decor
oh and im also addicted to mafia wars. im lvl 61 and ive only been playing for 12 days, i put all my points into energy so ive been doing jobs nonstop, and my character is weak as hell, but its ok cuz nobody attackes me anyway

Played SororityLife, got obsessed and checked it throughout the day, stopped.
Played FarmTown, got obsessed and checked it throughout the day, stopped. Everything died.
Played Restaurant City and kept it up with the Pet game from the same creators. It was ALWAYS a tab on my browser so I could click and see how their energy was doing.
It looked like a teaparty, it was beautiful for such a low level newbie I was.
Instead of ugly "bathroom" spaces I also made stalls for them. Rofl.
Man.
Then I deleted my Facebook and made a new one. Too scared to get sucked back in.

Played a lot of this game on fb called Imperial Galaxy. It's a novel that some dude is writing and he released a companion game to go along with it. I thought it was discontinued but when I just checked it out, it got updated. Kinda nice because you can play as much or as little as you like.
