The Simpsons

Anyone here consider themselves a pretty big fan?

I have seen every episode...prolly 5+ times. Some, 10+ times. Every night that I am home, and watching TV at 7-8 PM, I watch the Simpsons. I always know that I am never going to see anything new...but I watch it anyway. Its almost comforting, as I have been doing it for...well...my whole life (with a small exception that the 2 episodes used to be on a little earlier.)

I can (most of the time) name an episode (or at least the main plot from the episode) just from watching the first few seconds of the show.

I can name (most of) the characters as well.

Anyone else a big Simpsons fan? I know there are a lot of HUGE Simpsons fans (like...on a rediculous Star Wars fanbase scale) but I just consider myself a big fan.

Edit: Also - to add depth to the thread...say which is your favorite episode. Mine is the one where Homer slips behind the bookcase to escape seeing Patty and Selma and goes into a crazy 3D world...which he destroys pretty quickly lols. I'm thinking its one of the Halloween specials, but I'm not sure. Second favorite has to be the one where he fixes the toaster into a time machine lols.

lol I watch it occasionally, but just getting a TV installed in my room means I haven't watched much of anything.

I love the simpsons, which is why I dont watch it anymore.

The recent simpsons episodes are garbage, and ruin what was once an absolutely brilliant series. Classic simpsons are so much better than the last few seasons, that I actually get angry watching any of the new seasons. The last episode (of the new ones) that I watched was some lame episode with Ricky Gervais (or whatever his name is) where I sat through the whole episode and didnt even smirk once.

Sigh, enough ranting...as for my favourite episode, it'd have to be when the simpsons go to new york, and homer gets his car immobilized in time square. The bit where he's trying to reach the pizza shop while trying to stay at his car, by trying to extend his reach with a stick, is classic. Also, "eewwww...I'll take the crab juice".

I used to watch it a lot but now i really dislike it all the episodes seem the same and it really isnt funny at all now...

i always hated the simpsons for some reason i cant figure out, i cant laugh of the jokes either

its strange cause i do like southpark, american dad and family guy can actually make me rolling on the floor laughing =p
hope i didnt offend any simpson fans by this =p ill try check it sometime again on comedy central just to see why i dislike it >.>

The Simpsons, Scrubs, and That 70's Show are the only shows I watch lol.

My favorite episode is when that new kid comes to the school and is hired by Skinner to find out what Bart is going to do so Skinner can stop him. Then they play that Dropkick Murphys song

Watch it sometimes, honestly even though it influenced it, The Simpsons is not as funny as Family Guy.

I HAVE WATCHED EVERY SINGLE EPISODE OF THAT 70'S SHOW!!
Except the ones without Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher, because those just suck.

I love Simpsons. Best show ever. The best episode I liked was where he built that BBQ. I couldn't stop laughing after I saw this.

Yeah. That screaming was the best. I just couldn't breathe out of laughing

Tried to find that moment on youtube but I didn't find it. At least in proper quality.

Now that I recall, I watched the simpsons movie, which had me lolling, shaking my head in disapproval and also facepalming frequently. So I imagine the series is pretty much the same.

Pretty much the best show ever, in my opinion.

Better than any other, smarter than any other (Yes, even South Park before someone mistakenly labels that show as smart again), more universal than any other.

The accepted opinion that the newer episodes are bad is just bandwagonning.

If anything, the first season was the worst. Animation and stories were poor usually.

And the voice acting. First few seasons are hard for me to watch due to the animation and voice quality at times. The Simpsons got better with time, in my opinion, and I still watch the Treehouse of Horror specials every year at Halloween.

next to seinfeld, the simpsons it's one of the best shows ever to exist, and it's on the top for me

saddly, I hate the newer seasons of the simpsons, but the old school it's as awesome as gold

I don't particularly enjoy the new ones...but I don't really hate them.

I DO think they should quit before it gets too far gone. Its totally on the boarder.

I did like the movie though.

I enjoy Family Guy, but I don't care too much for South Park or American Dad.

I honestly like the new episodes. The old ones were getting too sappy but now it's a bit better. Also, the voice acting gets better every year. The "classic" simpsons had the same tone all the episode, Homer never went low pitch or high pitch.

The worst simpsons... was probably the movie. It was bad... Althought the "spider pig" song was awesome! But my favourites are the Halloween Specials. Like that one time Homer made himself a swarm and they fell down the cliff chasing a giant donut.

I use to watch it but not anymore just had a fallen out I guess. It's all about family guy now the new gen of the simpsons I like to think. If Adult swim got a hold of the simpsons I would watch more but I doubt they could.

I've loved scrubs and have watched all espisodes since it's beggining all the way to the current end season that almost wet my eyes

the funny part it's that even tho it's so unrealisticly funny with the Medicine stuff, I feel somehow identified with it, there's nothing better than coming out of a guardship at the hospital and sitting in my chair and laughing out loud at scrubs
