    Default Texture Problems.

I recently purchased a new GeForce 9500 (Best standard PCI card I could find, my PCI-E slot's totally fried), and updated its drivers and whatnot.

My problem is, when I try to run LOTRO or DDO, the facial textures are missing. I usually either get a black blob or a mass of randomly colored pixels. On occassion I get quest text over their faces, as well.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I tried updating my drivers again.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

On a side note, I can run both games on High settings, but WoW's lagging for me on low with this new card. Is there some reason for that? o:

There is simply not enough bandwidth in PCI slots to properly display all the textures at once. Best bet is to buy a new Mobo and re-use your PCI-E card.

Oh, okay, thanks. That explains a lot. So there's nothing I can do at all to display those textures with this card?

The chances of me replacing my mobo within several months are slim. :s

PCI-E can put out up to 8/16Gbit/sec. While PCI can only output around 1.06 Gbps. So there is a huge limitation compared to what a PCI-E slot can output.

Ah, I see. Well that's a huge bummer. :/ It also explains why games like WoW are lagging for me at such low settings, too. I wish I'd known that before I'd ordered the card, haha.
