Eh Combichrist's early work is a lot better then their recent work....and they are not techno or trance.....they are dark electro/EBM.

I'd suggest you skip techno and move into industrial music, its similar to rock but with a lot more sound to it. Pigface and Babyland have to be my two most favorite industrial bands, pigface is general and Babyland is punk.
