He has no life...
Reputation: 125You must be aware that this video is fake?
Haha this is like a public service announcement. The video was really well done though. Guy is a decent actor too.
Account theft should be taken more seriously. Virtual items are worth a lot of time and money on a level comparable with real goods. I don't see stealing someone's WoW account as something any less blameworthy than stealing someone's watch or wallet.
Worst. Tank. Evar.
Reputation: 43Its funny how he said at the end though "It just ruined my life" What life? rofl!
Reputation: 107This might sound a little bad but who ****ing cares>? That what he gets for downloading a stupid ****ing program sent to him by some wow player (yes it was his guild leader...and it was more than likely his guild leader who did it) and then not even virus checking it just installs it.....****ing idiot did you forget internet 101 or some shit?
this is why eve-online is better all around shit.....even counter strike source is better (I love talking shit in that game)

Reputation: 366You guys should realize it is fake. Good video though.
Reputation: 95good video and shit like that should be talked about and people need to be informed.same shit just happened to my gf (not exactly the same...disgruntled ex logged on and deleted her toons.i made her change her info after it happened) so now she has to start all over and not only is she pissed but i am too cause now itll take even longer til we can raid together and whatnot.
agreed.
any time this happens to someone for real, they deserve it for being stupid and not being vigilant enough.
no matter where you go in the online gaming community you always see thousands, perhaps millions, of stories from people who go accounts "hacked" or stolen or scammed or whatever.
people need to be wary of this sh*t and realise its their own fault with only THEM to blame when something bad happens.
its not the so called hackers fault, its your fault for being an idiot. pretty much all these scenarios are crimes of opportunity. they only happen if you let them happen. you wouldnt stand around outside a club in the bad part of town, alone, talking to your mate on your brand new mobile all lit up like a christmas tree... you are just asking for trouble. you dont get your wallet out in the store and flash your £1000 that you just withdrew from your account.
in the same vein you dont install third party software or other random stuff from unknown sources without any kind of precautions beforehand.
people whine that they lost three years of their life because someone stole their WoW account in one day. my question to those people is "why werent you better protecting something that you claim is so precious to you?"

lol i don't hate wow i hate idiots who download programs from people they don't even know and then complain when it has a virus and all their time/effort as wasted and instead of doing something about it they make a my space video crying about like a ****ing baby, and my comparison to eve-online was not because i believe eve is a better game it just believe it has a much friendlier community that over all 90% will try to help you instead of calling you a noob and offering you programs with key loggers, and the only way this happens in eve or counter strike is the same way it happened to this ****ing idiot if your well a ****ing idiot. (p.s only way to happen on counter strike is to actually give someone you password.....so i have no sympathy for people who have their steam accounts hacked cause it their own fault idiots)
