Reputation: 12upgrading a HP isnt suffiecent and is a waste of money, i'd build or get a custom pc on the way instead, take a look inside the case of your hp, all cheap unbranded parts, its hell in there. The problem is your integrated gpu, and slowly clocked processor, your pc's for everyday use, not gaming.
edit: and i just saw that its a laptop, you can upgrade it, but itll be a waste of time and money learnign how to properly do so.
Reputation: 66It could be that your hard drive is going bad. Newer hard drives have dense platters, which is basically a giant CD, so it performs faster even if the RPM is slow. Yours could be that it's 5400RPM, which slows down performance, not too badly though, but might also have a low density platter, so if your hard drive is 250GB, it would be split into 2 125GB or 3 ~75GB, if it was new, if it's old, it'd be like 5 50GB.
