What the hell would you do after you had obtained everything you needed if they didn't add new gear/levels, sit there with your thumb up your *** ?

I remember playing Molten Core and going wow this shyt is cool HOLY shyt look at ragnaros! HES HUGE.

Now we get half *** boss dragons over n over n over... Or revamps of old instances because with the new 70 or 80 cap all those old instances became useless.
They killed some good content by adding lots of bad content.

Also WTF is up with their spells? their spells remind me of Morrowind the elder scrolls such simple crap.. Anyone here Play RYL or RYL2 those spells were EPIC but the game had some major flaws I would LOVE to see a game like RYL2 remade!!!!!! omg!!!!!

I think thats usually referred to as "challenge". But then again, the gameplay experience may vary with different classes and experienced players who could propably run the raid with their eyes closed.

Ive always been interested in what it is that these EPIC RAIDS OMFG THATS AN ORC!!!1 hold inside of them. I think im alone with this opinion, but id like to see more games focusing on the "quest" part of the game, with puzzles and traps and other gameplay mechanics that seem to only plague pre-2000 games these days.

wow and eq2 have equal or better pve than lotr. warhammer has horrid pve though. aoc pve is pretty bad as well. ffxi pve is.....not even sure why that is mentioned at all.


lotr pve is good, but it is no more "real" than some others.

I'm in the same situation as you, feel like starting back on a P2P MMORPG. Bored and sick of the free ones, sure they're free but they are just a waste of time to be honest. Cash shops are usually overpowered and the gaming experience is just -meh.

I'm thinking to get back onto WoW but I really want to try Aion beforehand. If I get a chance to, I'm going to play the Aion open beta and then compare it to my previous WoW experiences, the problem is I have played WoW a lot but never been to 70-80 I quit during burning crusade.

Since Aion will be fresh, I want to give it a chance before putting my card details back onto WoW. I definatly will not be playing LOTRO again as it just doesnt stand up to WoW in my opinoin, to be honest, neither does AOC or WAR. WAR is in my opinoin the next-best MMO but still lacks the solidness and balance of WoW, not to mention the PVE.

I'd recommend you try out Aion, it might cost you a few bucks to play the Open Beta, but if you're ready to spend some time and money into a P2P game, I think its a good idea because you could be missing out on joining the community whilst it is fresh.

Try to think objectively here for a second. Opinions aside, wouldnt a game that has heavy emphasis on PvE, with an actual mileage of lore to back it up, actually feature good PvE? You may not like the game mechanics or graphics or lore or OMFG PLOT or whatever else there is that you hate about the game, but does that mean that your opinion holds true for everyone else out there?

And another finer point is no doubt the plot of LoTRO, where youre a part of the evolving happenings instead of hero no. 156339 who excels at slaying goblins. Now correct me if im wrong, but is this not PvE? And a though out model too?

i said nothing about it not having good pve. i responded to him saying it is the only game with "real" pve. i played with many people in lotr, and almost nobody read their quests just like in any other game. nobody really cares. all that matters the gameplay, difficulty, and end game content.

your post to me would have made more sense if you responded to bryan. think about it. my post was thinking objectively.

i suggest playing lotor try champions online or you can always try Darkfall its decent i just don't like getting ganked alot.
