I dont know if it's worth 4 billion...but I wager we should get ourselves ready for
'The New Mutants: The Musical' By Pixar...rated PG
WTF?! I hate disney already, and now they buy Marvel? They are so gonna ruin it.
Norrins gonna be pissed![]()
Reputation: 10oh no.... but what will happen to the most beloved hero of all time-
DEADPOOL!!!
dude... not cool.
Even Worse
The Jonas Brothers comic. Each having some weird ability...like 'Amazing scarf powers'
I honestly doubt they'll touch anything.
Probably just some major sexploitation of the characters. The Hulk will be the final boss in the next Kingdom Hearts, true story.
*edit*
Nvm, read the article. You're screwed.
Well that sucks hopefully they won't change too much. But it remains to be seen.
Reputation: 26Kingdom hearts and Marvel would be pretttty schweet.
Wheres Norrin when you need him fuk I'm switching to DC.
Aww man i hope marvel dont turn all kiddy and shit.
Wolverine is going to be the star of High School Musical 5.
Yeah, and when Disney bought Pixar everyone said the same thing. What happened? They simply told Pixar to do what they wanted, that they'd support them. What did we get? Wall-E, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, The Incredibles and Up (Which I've yet to see, but have every reason to believe is a masterpiece).
What movies have come out of Miramax since Disney bought it? Pulp Fiction, There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men.
Conversely, it's not as if Marvel movies haven't been shit before Disney.
Can Disney do any worse than Ghost Rider, any of the X-Men movies or Fantastic Four 1 and 2? I doubt it.
The only two Marvel movies worth a damn, really, were Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Recent ones anyway.
The issue will not be with comics. Warner Bros. bought or merged with DC, and they more or less don't give a shit what goes on in the comics. The issue has been with the amount of movies they can put out per year. People are concerned about whether Disney will limit the output.
Besides that, I couldn't care less. Disney can, in my opinion, do no worse than some of the shit that's come out anyway. It isn't broke, so they won't try to fix it. They're not stupid. For $4 billion it'd be easier to create a new company as opposed to buy a 70 year old one and change everything about it.
Universal Studios has been raking in billions over the years, Disney have been seeing nothing from it. Now, with the Marvel rides and merch they have there, Disney are getting a cut of the action.
It's really going to be more positive than it is negative, I think. Until they actually, actively start f*cking up the comics, I have nothing to worry about. Neither does any Marvel fan as of right now.
