Default How do you get used games?

I'm wondering how everyone gets their used games? GameStop is kind of expensive, and sometimes the disks are scratched and don't work (had this problem with a Champions of Norrath game). I know there are a few online trading services, but I've never tried them.

I work for a university that is giving a survey on how gamers get games. If you have a few minutes to answer, that would be awesome. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?s...fnFchw5A_3d_3d

Pretty sure this isn't against ToS, but mods can delete if it is.

What about Craig's List??? I had a friend get a PS2 there for pretty cheap, but it's a bit finicky.

Kijiji is a good place to start, and you might wanna try eBay, although you might have to do your research.

Well, I live in East London, so there are sh|t loads of flea-markets everywhere. I just picked up a Megadrive with 3 controllers and 10 games for £15.

    Micro Machines Turbo Tournament FTW!

    Awesome! Thanks, everyone!

That's a lot of choices! I'll have to look around and see if I can find one I like. Someone else had suggested eBay, so that may be a good one for me.

In all seriousness, Half.com has some awesome deals.

Most of the games I'm looking for (PS2, PSX) are like a quarter - its the shipping they get you on (but, it IS like $3 shipping, they aren't just making it up to rip you off.)

Gamestop for PSP games. Nearly every psp game is really easy to beat / get tired of. Finish it up, return it within 30 days, no questions asked and full store credit. I've gone through about 4 games this way so far (:

Other than that, I don't buy used games really. I've moved to computer for nearly all gaming needs, though I'm strongly considering getting a ps3 soon.

Huh that's weird, I guess the people that work here don't know the policy very well :P Not complaining or anything.

No problems with the games not working from Gamestop, the only issue I have is the general worthiness of buying used games from them. It's usually only 5 bucks lower than the same game new, if that. Only time I buy used games from them is if they don't have that game in a new copy.

If I really want to get a game for a decent price, I generally go to either eBay or Amazon.
