I use to play on Area 52 which is one of the few horde dominated PVE servers. At times it can be 3-5:1 horde versus alliance. If you want to roll horde, this is most likely the server for you but beware the community is one of the worse. If you can get past that there is a very active raiding community and pvp.

I would go mage imo because there has been a flood of paladins ever since TBC. There are still a lot of mages but no where near the population of paladins. Also everyone loves mages for PVE because they are cheap bastards and want free food/water.
