You want to know why? Because it is mathematically and physically impossible to ever reach the speed of light, much less go faster than it. It just can not happen. Lightspeed, warps, hyperdrives, etc.... they are all just science fiction creations that are not possible.
Now wormholes? That's a completely different story.
As for the topic at hand, my view of other life in the universe would probablly not coincide with a lot of the views most people share with aliens. Let's just say that on the offchance life does exist outside of our solar system, it is life that never messed up. They are basically perfect beings.
Gaah. It just anoys me how everyone starts about the white house, the white house isnt the most important thing, if you would think with the fking head you would realize a lab would be a better place, maybe we, human forms have something invented they dont, and they wont find it in the white house. >_>
Life: Yes, other life must exist.
Intelligent Life: Definately SOMETIME since the Universe was created. Right this moment? Maybe. Maybe not.
If Intelligent, Advanced?: Maybe, definately possible.
Made it here: Chances are probably not.
Off Topic: Wasn't a documentary being made about that man who had aliens visit his house? He set up a camera facing his window and what looked like a non-human face looked into the window. Was pretty awesome. Pretty sure they proved the video hadn't been edited or anything like that. Anyone know what happened with that? Made it to the news.
Reputation: 24dude. a lot of things we have now came from fiction. and to note people thought things like the cell phone or computer would'nt exist.
but it does now. its kinda wierd. but a lot of fiction things became non-fiction within the years.
we still are just tapping science still.. we have a LOONG way to go.
hell we don't even know about a blackhole otherwise then computer data.
which is just simulated.
as usual these things start off as science fiction and then years down the line turn into science fact.
its an interesting point to consider that one of the most productive forums for these kinds of ideas becoming reality is that of SF and not always lectures on particle physics (although it is the engineers and physicists that work on the endgame).
some science fiction writers have probably contributed to the development of human technology almost as much as the guy who sits down and works out all the math. if you can dream about it then chances are some day someone is gonna build it. whether it works or not though...
Reputation: 11No they dont and never exist...
hmmmm..... i don't know if i will believe it......
but i guess that's not true.
