    Default New Computer Build

Well, I have some money now, and I'm hoping to build my self a new computer. I've based the build on the Neogaf $650 Canadian build. This is what I have.

    Total: $550.46

I already have this power supply. Will this work or should I cancel the order for it?

Is this fine? Will everything work out? Or are there any new parts which are cheaper?

Please let me know about the power supply, as there was only one left and it was 50% off, it seems like it would work so I went ahead and ordered it.

My budget is around $550-600, not including the power supply. I'd prefer parts from NCIX as they can price match, and I only get 5% tax, as opposed to the 13% from Newegg Canada.

I use this website for price matching: www.shopbot.ca

    Thanks!

Oh cool. I knew they were coming out, but didn't think the older card prices would go down.

Thanks! I'll wait a bit. Anyways, the power supply is fine though? Right? As I already got that.

Good power supply, but it won't power your system. It's a huge risk using it since it has only 26A, and I think your system might pull around 30-32ish amps while gaming.

Well, I'm not looking forward to over clocking, so is it still too little? On the Neogaf thread, I think all the power supplies have 26A or less, so I thought maybe it was fine..

This was the power supply that was on sale before, and this was what was recommended for this build. Isn't think one only 24A? http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...6&promoid=1016

Secondly, around how much time will it be before the new line of cards come out? My brother in law has the laptop, which I used to play on, and now he moved so I want to be able to play TF2 with smooth FPS again. Now I'm not getting very high FPS on low, which means I can't play well.

The one you just linked to is 33A, more than enough for 9800GT SLI, so roughly 4850 CF on a weak dual core or a 4870 and a mild quad. It's roughly last week of September or early October for the new cards, saving $50 or more on a card for just waiting is a pretty dam good deal if you ask me or any other person.

Can someone PM me like a list of everything you need to build your own computer please? (PM because I dont get on here much) I've heard it's easy and cheaper if you do it yourself. All I really want is a 3.0GHz+ processor with 2-4GB RAM, 500GB-1TB of Harddrive, and a nice video card, but yeah... a list of part requirements would be epic thnx.

Oh...I guess I'll just get you one with an onboard, that can probably handle TF2 on low-mid. So, before I start building, any requirements? Brand preferences, possible part upgrade later, or a full upgrade, looking for mini gaming computer, or a raw power computer, monitor resolution, etc. Dam I hate typing that over and over again.. It hurts my hand after a while.

    Problem:
I delete just about anything that have no use and take up space..I like to keep my hard drive near empty. Still have like 365GB left on my 500GB.
