I've had my Final Fantasy 7 game for about four years and it doesn't work anymore. It's in fairly good condition, but whenever I go to start a new game it freezes. It gets past the stupid intro thing, but when you get into the first battle with those Shinra Soldiers it just sits there and plays the music. There isn't even any characters, it just sits there at an empty battlefield and does the fight music. The game works fine because I can play on my old save files, but starting a new game just screws the game up...
Did anyone else have this problem? Can anyone give me any advice? I really wanna play Final Fantasy 7 again.
Is it for the PC or PSX? If it is for the PC then there are patches you can install. Also the PC version does not play well with new computers. There are some XP patches online and a few other things you can get to play the PC version better. If it is for the PSX then your CDs are scratched I bet. I'm playing FF7 again also. It is much different from a while back.
