When you advance jobs your character changes appearance, though, not in a big way. Asura's get a blindfold, just little things like that.

At 18 when you change job your avatar changes a tiny bit like launchers get a rifle on their backs etc. Nothing major but changes things up a bit.

Can bind most gamepads in game directly. I hear some arcade pads though don't work for whatever reason; that you would probably need joy2key for.

I'm aware the game is popular, I don't care. I don't care if ball in a cup is the world's most popular game for a reason, it's not with me and it doesn't make it the best game in the world simply because a lot of people play it.

Last time I checked, I wasn't talking about the game proving anything. I merely stated: DFO is a decent game but I'm not really feeling it and I don't think it's as good as people made it out to be. So far you've pretty much said, "so what? The game is popular, you don't like it go play something else. You don't have to like it because a lot of people do". OK...thanks for telling me something I know and plan on doing anyway, but that is not what I'm looking for from this topic.

I'm just asking for opinions on the game, that's all. Some who have enjoyed the game have offered suggestions such as playing till a certain level when more skills are available, or trying other jobs, which is advice I've actually taken seriously. Others have expressed actual opinions on the game (love it, like it but think it was hype up a bit much, don't like it, etc) and I appreciate that.

You on the other hand, keep going on about how popular the game is and giving me the excellent advice of "if you don't like it don't play it, it's still popular" which has nothing to do with the actual topic, nor do I particularly care about, at all. Thank you for the discussion but I've seen enough of your point.

    ----------------------------------

Thanks for the replies, I'll probably give it another shot. Don't get me wrong, there are many things I enjoy about the game but overall I just do not feel like this is what I'm looking for in an MMO. I am disappointed with DFO but if a large portion of the gaming community here and elsewhere loves it, then so be it, I'll be one of the few who does not.

I really can't understand why they have chosen to make a game with such a poor character customization. So, imo, DFO could have been a great game... 10-15 years ago. And such a game ll never make me quit others action games like C9.
If only I remembered the link for the DnF character Simulator..

There's a TON of customization, just mostly in cash shop.

Seriously. I even doubt that you've played Mabinogi Heroes OR C9. but personally since I don't know, I'll shut up.

    anyways, great game, yattah yattah.

I'm just waiting for CS to come out :x. I seriously want blue hair.

Ontop of that, Mage is being wonderful for me, All I do is create a party, throw a few bolts, and level up, rinse and repeat.

Almost level 18 in my mage.. unno if I should go Summoner or Witch.

We have one of the earliest versions, that's why it isn't as good as people have said it was.

Differences that I noticed from Closed Beta:
    - Stucks are now known as Misses.
    - Technic points are now technique points.
    - More glitches and lag issues.
    - The botting-preventive measure where a window pops up and asks for you to type in a code.

Closed Beta was much more enjoyable.

This game will be "bad" until we get new patches that put us on par with the korean or japanese versions.

Yeah I get ya, I'll keep it in mind.

And to answer your question about the cancels, they are passives that allow you I believe to execute a skill mid attack sequence instead of waiting for the entire attack animation to end. I believe it's necessary for skill chaining but you can ask some of the more experienced players for more info on it

I too agree with Seeric except for the coin issue. 1 a day is not enough.

(There was a certain point in Arad were I didn't feel 3 coins were enough)

Also, coins are expensive on this version, from what I hear.

Any bets on Coins being cash items?

I kinda understand. I mean, they are not extremely necessary, but they are pretty nice to have, especially when you die in the room before the boss (or in the freaking boss). Usually, 3 coins would be enough for a whole stress bar in Arad Senki (level 30 - 40 dungeons, mind you). But 1, for an entire stress bar? That's an insult.
I hope they don't change the amount of coins you get when your guild levels up, otherwise, RAGE will be had.

Still one of my favorite games of all time. Need's some updates though. Other than that I am just happy to play in English. Forgot my DNF account and couldn't really get into Arad for some reason. Sorry again for suddenly leaving like that.

It's early access open-beta atm, lets just cross our fingers and hope they will change and match the korean version :'(
