Help needed..

Im not really the race game freak but after playing some NFS Shift on my psp i really liked it, but i have 1 problem, when taking a turn i always crash into something, and the AI's racers just take a good turn, i wanted to ask, how the hell should i make this great turn without crashing into anything >_<?

(Dont start flaming since i really dont play much racing games and such :S)

you tryed using the brakes sometimes?

and there are 2 kind of brakes, so you can also play with them, you can also stop giving more gass when you are in theturn (or how ya say that in english.) stop accelerating ? ....
