Default first news of navyfield 2

The seas of Navy Field beckon once more, this time in full 3D. Navy Field 2 is being developed from the ground up to provide the same hard to put down game play and enjoyment of Navy Field along with updated graphics, content, and tweaks.

Thanks to Emergent Inc’s Gamebryo Engine which powers Navy Field 2’s visuals gamers will be able to experience battles like never before. All of the painstaking attention to detail paid to battle ships in Navy Field is now applied in full 3D for Navy Field 2. Command your ship into a larger game field with a realistic weather system. Impressive 3D effects and realistic backgrounds along with an improved sound and effects system help to provide a more realistic game experience.

Players can chose from the four previously available nations (USA, KM, IJN, and UK), along with new nations to be introduced. An improved user interface with a built in “Beginner’s Tutorial” will welcome new players who have not played Navy Field before. Improved historical and non-historical missions will be implemented for players to enjoy on their own. Once ready for the field, players will enjoy battles with up to 64 players and a maximum of 192 ships taking part. As players advance they can look forward to a new player owned fleet system, an increased submarine system, and an increased amount of WWI era naval vessels.

Navy Field 2 is being developed to handle up to 10,000 players in one server. An improved hacking prevention system with live packet authorization along with improvements in auto-repair, emergency alarm, and malfunction damage systems will help let players enjoy Navy Field 2 to its fullest.

Navy Field 2 by SD EnterNet is the sequel to Navy Field: Resurrection of the Steel Fleet. Introduced into the North American market in 2004, Navy Field allows players to battle one another in rooms of up to 128 players in over 100 different WWII era naval vessels. Fully customizable historically accurate naval guns, torpedo launchers, Fire Control Systems, engines, and armor are available for players to equip. An RPG style sailor leveling system exists to provide extensive replay and strategic value. 75 different sailor positions are available so you can take command of your vessel in the manner that best suits you. The possibilities for customization are almost endless

Is the original Navyfield fun? I've had it bookmarked in my "Games to try" folder forever but I never got around to playing it.
