Why do guys play female characters in games?

Then why do you quote me and keep replying to me if I was agreeing with Lawliet and sinnful. You obviously don't care about how models look and your reason for playing a male character is another one, which is completely fine. What I mean is, that picture and comparison wasn't directed towards you, because you don't EVEN CARE about models. It was directed towards people that do care, I was just showing what kind of things make SOME people stay away from male characters. Again, this does not include YOU.

thought it would help to find a higher resolution picture. not one in 640x480.

This thread seems to be split into four specific groups:

A. I don't care what gender I play.

B. I like playing female characters.

C. I like playing male characters.

D. LOL You're a *** if you don't play your gender because I'm right and you're all wrong no matter what I say.

It would be nice if group D would crawl back under the bridge.

"I enjoy playing my own character, but if a game is gender-locked and I actually like it, it won't keep me from playing if my favorite class is the opposite sex."

Would be a mix between A, B and C.

lol. that's the same thing. unless you just don't like the animations with that particular male model. the fact you said you don't like looking at guys while you play means you don't find them attractive to you(most people don't even think that way in the first place, so it doesn't matter at all, they are just models of other players), which is why you play the female characters.

Yes exactly, it seems to some people that a player would use a girl toon necessarily for a pervert motive.

It's all wrong~ it's a whole thing, player seeks the toon that will feel pleasant to his eyes.

And for the pixel argument, don't you ever get amazed by the look of your new armor or new weapon ?

The logical reason would be because sometimes the male models are overly hulkish, which makes me sick to my stomach.

But usually its because I feel like it, I know I'm not gay and I don't do it for items, I go with the flow.

Sometimes its epic win watching the desperateness of dudes online, other times its just a hinderance because of the desperateness of dudes online.

In the end its just a game, It's not like i'm putting a dress on in reality, because, well that would be a travesty.

I usually only play females in games when the females look better than the males or if a class I want is female exclusive. However, if I am spoken to as if I were female, I immediately tell them I'm male.

why is tomb raider, lara croft so popular game and has like 10 sequels and gods know how many spinofs? i like female chars cause male chars in any game looks more gay...

I like looking at chicks. That's why I always roll with a female toon. If the classes are gender-locked, I will pick a female class 99% of the time. The other %1 is if there is a duck or a paladin class.

So far no duck classes encountered.
