In College Station the movie theatre sells $4 tickets to University students. Myself and my bud decided to go watch it just for the heck of it. While it was by no means a masterpiece, it kept us both entertained the entire time.
Definately not worth full price tickets though.

This movie was embarrassing to watch. It had nothing to do with the anime just took anime character and made their own story that was horrible. This one them ones you watch then go into the other room and kill yourself.

Dragonball Evolution was a quickshot at kids who knew of Dragonball but missed it due to being born after the golden age o every kid and his teddy bear watching it.
It was terrible but also extremely funny to watch.

Had anyone notice lot of wrong things in the dragonball movie? Like when did goku start going to school or when did he start to get intrest in girls. Why did they make goku a teenager? Where is his best friend Krillin the bald kid from starting from dragonball to dragonball Z. Oh and he doesn't ride a bike he rides a flying cloud. Goku in the movie he told grandpa gohan that he doesn't have friends and he does. I forgot one thing they didn't show Master roshi using the Kamehameha he invented that movehollywood you suck.

LOL. I've seen it twice. Once in theaters with my brother and it kept us thoroughly entertained (though facepalming the whole time.) Then I downloaded it and watched it again. And it was less entertaining when I couldn't have someone laughing at it with me.

But yeah this Movie was HORRIBLE. Only 2 things were from the Glory that is Dragonball and thats the Characters Names and the Dragonballs themselves. I mean wheres Nimbus and Goku's Power Pole (Wait did he have his Powerpole in the Movie I don't rember) and Wheres Krillen.
everything else was made from people that Probably never even Read the mange nor saw the Anime.

The reason you see a lot of American adaptations is because we love seeing revamped versions or expansions on series we are already familiar with, and that formula has worked out pretty well for Hollywood.
If you can make a Studio think you can make them money, your movie gets made. So when you can walk in and say you have a movie script based off a series that already have an average of X amount viewers the Studio translates that into seats already sold. The system has worked for them, so unless people stop going to see these movies, they won't stop making them.
Oh and when we do make creative movies, they don't tend to go over well.

That's why I hate it when people are like "This will probably suck, but I'll go see it anyway.".
People who pay to see movies (Time or money, but money more relevantly) that you can guess the plot to, rather accurately. Like, I dunno, all chick flicks ever.
