Default Plan on buying a dsi, fill me in.

I plan on buying one within the next few days, can anyone give me the "Low down" on the dsi? It will be my first DS(Always wanted one, step dad kinda forced me to get a psp and I hated the games for it, I've always been a nintendo fanboy)
Has the region lockout been bypassed yet? That was a real IDE move by nintendo. I'm sure theres ways to pirate games and patch them for us region but I'd prefer not to download games for a ds as I already do that for a few consoles and i'd like to atleast support nintendo....(I can't justify paying 70$+tax for a xbox game. I used to but got tired of it after paying a lot of money for 30+ games).
Anyways yeah. info would be appreciated!
    Reccomend some games too.
    I plan on getting:
    Trauma center
    Zelda phantom hourglass
    Metroid prime
    Lunar knights
I need some good rpgs as well

I actually like to support good games. If nobody bought games, you wouldn't have any to play. Simple.

I used to think that way, too endrien. But it's just too convenient to be able to download and try every single game within a day of it coming out, without paying the $30~$40(?) :< I still do purchase games from developers that I want to support, and I feel bad about pirating somewhat. But at some point you just have to be smart with your money.

I would personally just get the DS Lite if it's any cheaper. Not much else to say about the console itself really, but some games I like:
Final Fantasy IV (epic remake of the original game with all new 3d graphics. Best RPG on the DS)
Pokemon Platinum (most current, classic Pokemon game - don't need to say much else)
    The World Ends with You
Mega Man Star Force (DS series) (if you liked Battle Network games on the GBA, I did.)
    Professor Layton (DS series)
    Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Disgaea (if you don't have a PSP for Disgaea)
Chrono Trigger DS (if you haven't played the SNES version a lot, this is a good way to pick it up. Great remake)
    GTA: Chinatown Wars
Animal Crossing: Wild World (I love AC but I probably wouldn't bother if you've already played the GC version for so many hours like I have. I also couldn't play the Wii remake for very long.)

    Buy games you like.

I'm not suggesting piracy though. Use the flashcart for homebrew and legal backups only.\

I'll make you a big list of games ASAP

    Sure thing man.

And about the firmware...I'm sure there is a work around. These things take reading, but in the end its totally worth it.

Even if you just demo games, it can't hurt to have a flashcart.

Theres no other way I could have played the Tingle game.

    Good man.

That site is kinda crappy when it comes to shipping :/ And you'll need a microSD. No bigger than 4 gigs, if I remember correctly. But you can find one of those mad cheap.

    Enjoy!

Lite is cheaper and better (£50 for a low quality camera is not worth the loss of a GBA slot).
Mario Kart and Pokemon is all you need.

IDK. I'd kill to have a camera on my DS personally.

I don't have a phone, and my iPod doesn't take pictures. I need something smallish I could carry on me that has more function than just a camera.
