The IPs were banned WRONGLY, cos some players were using proxies or some programs which helps speeds the game up, and its commonly used in WoW too. They were not banned because of the actual IP restriction. Other than China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan (sry if i missed out other Aion servers), the rest of the world can legally log on and play the game.

There are quite a few cases posted in the official NA forums, some couples had one of their accounts banned, while the other isn't. Something is clearly wrong here.

People like K3lster, do you even play Aion and heard of similar incidents in the past ? If you didn't, quit trying to be a smartass and tend to your F2P games.

Theres like 60+ pages on Aion source about the ban, I just found it funny.

Aion sucks, I wander why people would pay $15 per month + box, for such crap Korean grinding game that it just like every game, there is nothing new, it has worse and less content the World of Warcraft.

Also 80% of the Aion population is like gold spamming bots, all you see in chat is bots spamming same message over and over, that's all you see while you play the game.

And you pay $15 per month to see it no matter where you go.

Also the Auction House is filled with gold bot items, with large stacks, like 200-1000 per stock, they farm the crap out of anything and sell it, the way it continues it will destroy the market and you wont be able to sell anything and make any money what so ever.

You will see, just wait and Aion will EPIC Fail as it already is.

This must be the first time i hear Aion has IP block for countries which have no local server. Even us South East Asian players can log into the Oceanic servers. Which continent are you from ? The IP restrict error didnt happen till yesterday, and you said you were region blocked "in the past".

my guildwars account was banned for no reason, and i bought the first GW when it first came out at around $45.00 retail price, so i paid that much to get banned just this year.
I went in a run around with the company.
Eventually 1 month later after plenty of arguments.
I find out i was banned for inactivity, yet i hadn't played in less than a month from the time i was banned.

i never understood why every1 liked aion so much, the graphics arent that good compared to its cost, i seen f2p games with better graphics. and everything is purple in that game, gets a bit redundant.

some ppl edited the .bin file to .exe to allow their video card to function, hence they were banned from what i read. others were using some legit proxy programs to speed the game up like in WoW, and they were IP banned. Alot of shiet happening to NCsoft. Was reading someone who said a minute he was reporting a botter, the next min he was banned too. lol.
