So, I've seen a couple of topics about it, and myself, having played Space Cowboy to lvl 25, decided to make an independant topic, in respects to me possibly ruining their topic.

Space Cowboy Review:

Now as MMORPG'ers, we all come to a point in time where we see something appealing. This is one of those games. Fly around in a ship? Shoot stuff? Sounds great.
So my journey to the main website was quite easy, and seeing it being developed by the same team as Flyff, my hopes skyrocketed.

I can easily say, Flyff was one of the few free MMO's I played until I was considered "1337". But as always, it got old, and it was nothing more than a grindfest. It's a bit hard to be more critical than that (and I am the grand master at criticism).
The download was okay, 943 Megabyte's isn't bad.

After making an account, I logged on to experience nothing but excitement. The characters were exciting, the ship styles were exciting, and going through the tutorial just wanted to make me pee myself.

I'll make it simple: THIS GAME LOOKED AWESOME.
The tutorial was quite helpful, and the controls were surprisingly easy to handle, a set of "Mouse and keyboard" can never fail in an action game. And the graphics were stunning. The lighting effects were amazing.

I got into the game and was astonished by the simple reality I felt like I was in, I thought I was a real pilot. When in town, you are an avatar animated by a human form and no longer a spaceship, and in a subtle way, makes it good for RP'ing.

The lag in the cities was bearable, but still not enjoyable. It also had a click and go interface in the cities, and I tend to like "WASD controls".

Next thing you know, I'm prompted to do a "mission" (A more futuristic term for 'quest'), and was excited. Then I got to doing the mission, and it was as I expected, a fetch quest.

Slightly annoyed, I quested on, and the gameplay was definately a bonus for this game.
On the way to dreading more killing, I did find that there is a formation chat that is compatible with a mic, although the sound quality is a bit distorted. I also found a handy little music playlist so I didn't have to listen to that lame elevator music.

With the accomadation of removing the silly elevator music, the gameplay was intense, though, I wasn't doing as much bullet dodging and stunning air tricks to defeat my enemy. I was left to a simple task of aiming at it and shooting. That also annoyed me, as most of the killing was little action, lots of point and click. Only benefit to the system would be staying on your target.

In the game, there is an ammo and a fuel limit. This would've made the gameplay more exciting, but the amount of both elements that the game gives you is too low for comfort.
I found myself dying just about every five minutes from running out of fuel.

So as I went on questing, I journied through the atmosphere a little more and for myself, was dissatisified at the amount of atmosphere there was to travel in, but that is just me.

I got to the point where I had joined the nation Arlington. This was no different than the first town I was in (Bygeniou). So I flew around and I killed more stuff, until, yes, I gave up.
So at level 25 I'm stuck here on these forums with nothing much else to do then review it.

So here are the numbers.
Community score: 6/10 (Hardly anyone will talk to you, but the ones who do are pretty nice.)

Gamplay score: 9/10 (certainly original)

Grinding score: a lot(No surprise)

Quest score:7/10 (there was a cave quest which was fairly original)

Graphics: 9/10 (Very nice for a free to play)
Overall: 7/10
This game is definately worth trying out, and yet again, does prove that whatever company that develops Gpotato's games, is worthy of my approval.
