When I went to see Zombieland in theaters with my uncle, Jonathan McDonald (797789), I saw the new preview for 2012. The new preview makes the movie look like it might be good, despite it being based on a completely made up event (both the scientific community and the Mayan culture agree that it is just pseudoscience [which is the scientific term for something that claims to be scientific, but is actually fake] and a misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar). I mean I dont really think the world is going to end, but I thought the Mayan calendar was real.
In the end tho, its just a way for Hollywood to make off something that a lot of ppl dont know a lot about, and start a big scare like when everyone said the computers were going to crash in the year 2000.
But yea also what dragster said, try not to make threads like your own personal blog.

December 21, 2012 isnt the end of the world in the Mayan calendar, its the end of an age. Two comepletely different things. Humans have been saying the world is going to end for thousands of years and were still here. Religious believers have been saying Judgement day would happen and God would come take the righteous to heaven for 2000 years, but were still here. The world WILL end someday, EVERYTHING in the universe has an expiration date, but its highly unlikely the earth's expiration date is on December 21,2012.

Lay off Norrin. Also there really isn't anything wrong with this topc other then the fact he should have said something like "this is what I think of the movie" or whatever. Instead of just making a statement. Saying you saw the trailer. Here it is.
Try to leave something up for discussion when posting topics, insteading of making it sound more like a statement.
So now if everyone could just stay on topic and share their ideas about the movie/2012 in general. Instead of just saying stop blogging, etc. Other wise I will be forced to lock this topic.

Due to the concern of many members of this site and the fact that I don't think this topic could ever completely get back on topic I am locking this thread. And yes the comment about Norrin was completely uncalled for and I want to see more respect for other members of this site then that.
