Default The war against Goldsellers continues

And surprisingly Blizzard itself is hosting the war:

    http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/World-of-Wa...on-Goldsellers

Of course many companies are already doing their best to remove goldsellers from their game, but Blizzard takes a step up by publicly announcing it - as well as the consequences. And it ain't pretty!

Take one Goldseller down and two other ones will take his place, resistance is futile.

Thanks for the news though, Roxane.

Is anyone else disappointed that Blizzard isn't hiring PMC's to go over to China and just start killing gold farmers?

Every time there's a market for something, there's usually a corresponding illegitimate market.

Glad to see someone taking an official stance though.

Those that do buy gold aren't allowed for any MMORPGs imo.

It shows that they do not have the time what it takes to get what they want, what MMOs basically are about.

Blizzard will never be able to stop the goldsellers...

I heard a funny story that is actualy true, cops raided a gold selling company's building.. they got fined, and stopped thier actions.. but.. its like cockroaches... kill 1 and you get 2.. kill 2 and you get 4.. and so on..
    They just multiply... :/

Nothing will change people to busy to play to endgame will still buy there way their. Then when the account is ransacked ( if that even happens) they will just go to the same company that ransacked them buying another account.

    it's hilarious really.

(I've never bought gold or an account in any MMORPG)

lots of people don't have(or are too lazy/don't want to put the time in) the time to put into an MMORPG to get the gold/characters, you can get 10k gold for ~$40(based on gold spam) in WoW, many people make $40 in just 2 hours, whereas it could take 2-3 weeks of doing dailies to get the same amount of gold.

or a character fully decked out in gear for $300-400, which isn't very much at all compared to raiding full time every week for 40+ hours.

it all boils down to people not wanting to put work into an MMORPG(which the current market is wrapped around), and gold/account selling makes that even easier for the casual.

Paying for a fully raid geared character is like paying someone to live your life for you, and then have them hand it back over just before your moment of death.

The journey is most of the fun, if you bought a maxed character all you would have left to do is, ironically, farm gold and do dailies. Or PVP, but you can't buy skill.

many people find just owning a geared character more fun than gearing it up, from what I've seen.

I wouldn't blame the Goldsellers or the Farmers. i blame the MMORPG consumer. it's like Giving a monkey a Gun, he's gonna shot him self. all the farmers are doing is giving into the demands of the monkey wanting the gun. he's gonna get his gun one way or another.

So basically people ruin there own games and when you play a game where the majority are monkeys? well not much point playing that game is there? (silkroad comes to mind)

So that's why you need a fuhrer to stop you from shooting your self.

    Well, I can't say anything.

Blizzard may say all they want, but Goldsellers also go hand in hand with MMORPGS.
