    Default Modern Warfare 2

Hey guys, So i was thinking about buying mw2. I'm not sure whether i should buy it off steam or the actually store. I mean.. its the same price for it, but from the stores you get the booklets and etc... Just wondering if its better to have the cd and the booklets ( or even poster it comes with it).

Thinks it better to get it off steam or the actually stores?

True, but if you have a slower internet connection, getting the CD is better. Personally, I'd get the retail one. Since if you move hard drives, you don't have to redownload like 10GB.

With Steam, you'll have a permanent digital copy.

Let's say your hard copy breaks, gets scratched up, or is lost somewhere, you won't have any MW2 to play unless you buy a new copy.

Through Steam, let's say you're getting a new computer, reformatted your current computer, etc., you'll just have to re-download it how many times you want after that.

Personally, I'd get the hard copy just because I feel 'cool' having the disc and case.

    Agree'd.

Nothing like having 20+ PC game cases on your desktop

I used to prefer having all the cases, but not it just seems so convenient from Steam. Like other people have said it sucks when you reformat as it takes a while to redownload all games. :S

It's called karma from cracking exp on servers, see they give you the option to have want you want, you abuse it.
Also the PC community just want something to cry about, in hope that a developer actually cares more about them than the console users.

Anyway Disc, because if you keep your key and your hard disc breaks, you can torrent the game and install it via a legal key. Discs are also just cooler.

The cracked exerpience doesn't work you would know if you spent 3 sec on one...

Sorry it's ok I guess console gamers are just not used to having the freedoms with the products as the pc gamers are, the only thing I have to say is clans will die off or be reduced to the point of laughter, if we wanted 12 person laggy *** shitty rooms we would of bought if for the console in the first place.

It has and apparently will no longer be the pc version that has brought continuous profits into their pockets with its dedicated servers 48 person rooms and mods, cause seriously when you done with single player and get 55 on the console is there any real incentive to keep playing? at least on the pc version someone can mod the single player etc or add a new custom skin for that digital camo that makes it look cooler etc.

That and listen servers work for consoles cause all console are the ****ing same not everone is running that top of the line beast computer, so you better hope the host of that listen server has one or you in for a shitty experience.

    on topic:

I would say digital because you guaranteed a back up copy unless steam or something goes bank rupt but im pretty sure the chances of breaking a cd are higher.

Oh and no one abuses anything on Xbox... like
PIRATES? (thought PC is the only one to have that now did ya, Oh btw they can use Xbox live and cant be found)
    Glitches? (pc has this too)
The Microphone? (thank god no one uses in game mic for PC)

Well guys... who wants to play Operation 7... I mean if you look at it there the same now but at least for operation 7 you don't have to pay sixty dollars for a bad game

VAC as a solution as a anti hack... really you just made every hacker happy now...

PS I would get a hard copy due to the satisfaction of destroying it... you know I might pre-****ing order 50 copies and destroy every copy... to save humanity from downgrading the PC to some console
Well it's a down grade for me now that I have two Nividia Geforce's 9800's
