for the people asking whats the point of making a movie when you already have the game. well, not everyone has access to the game, nor want to spent hours playing just to get the story.

How is that worth it?

I'm not trying to catch anyone out here, I seriously happen to be curious. You've got games with cut scenes, that you play the lead in, fiction and other stuff.

Why is a movie necessary? Considering it'll cost hundreds of millions and tell you a story you already know.

Haelkoth; if people can't be bothered to get any story from its source, they don't deserve the story, in my opinion.

It's why Watchmen exists. People too lazy to read the book wanted a movie.
