Though, I do have to ask out of curiosity; what are people hoping to gain with a Halo movie? You already know the story from the games and additional fiction (Three games, not including Wars, Reach and O.D.S.T.), so what exactly is the long-term gain from spending multiple millions of dollars on a film adaptation?

It's not as if you are reading a comic and wondering how they'll look in motion.

I'm not trying to catch anyone out here, I seriously happen to be curious. You've got games with cut scenes, that you play the lead in, fiction and other stuff.

Considering there are tons of people hungry for live-action versions of comic books, games and novels I think there's definitely a market out there.

Hollywood fatcats are so lazy to write original content they'll turn anything into a movie.

because there's no point not making it...might as well. Prob wouldnt be centered around the game, so should be something "new".

Haelkoth; if people can't be bothered to get any story from its source, they don't deserve the story, in my opinion.

It's why Watchmen exists. People too lazy to read the book wanted a movie.
