Jesus Christ this thread is making me cry. Can we just agree that both operating systems are over-priced and over-produced corporate software used by people who think they know a lot about computers but really don't, because if we did we would be using Linux by now?
I honestly like Windows because I'm accustomed to manually getting rid of viruses via regedit and adding new hardware with device manager and so forth. I'll admit that I have limited exposure with macs as I do not own one. The only thing I'm really accustomed to using is key access which I used to help my mom when she had a bug on the macbook I bought her in June. I'm not as comfortable with using terminal as I am with command prompt.
This discussion is literally going around in circles. You bought it, you use it. End of story. It is possible to run mac on windows using a type of serial plug. Even though Mac has Parallels which is more encouraged. However I've used parallels and I absolutely hate it. I've had various issues with account permission where it's gotten a bit messy. But it's nice that the option is always there. Boot Camp on the other hand has been wonderful and has treated me very nicely at the computer labs on campus. Take it or leave it, an advertisement is an advertisement. And corporate America wins either way if you choose to endorse Mac Osx or Windows.
