    PHP is the best. (For the browser at least)

    Yea...you can't make a standard 2D or 3D PC non-online game in pHp very well or at all really

    I like Python for game programming(Well, programming in general. I've only worked with one game, which miserably failed.) Panda3D is a really good engine for it, and some people have gotten up to 100fps on the engine. It's also very easy to learn. (Easier than Visual Basic in my opinion.)

    For a 2D game, I would go with ika.

    Bacn won the ideas contest, and right now the game is a no-go. Only Bacn, Serix, Eriond, and I want to work on it. (I believe that's everyone, I may be missing some people. I'm also not sure if Eriond wants to work on it.)
