Just recently, a 13 year old kid died from the H1N1 flu virus, and a lot of people in this area are really panicking. There are often 3 hour waits for getting into a flu clinic. Source

It seems that America is carrying much more about the health of other countries other than it's own.

This is at least one good thing I have seen.

I was just watching the news earlier about America spending hundred of millions by paying terrorists to work on their side of the military. I mean we just keep pouring money into this war when we are so much in debt.

I guess a few hundred million is chump change now but still it adds up over time if you keep spending like that.

Near by there was a 17 year old kid who collapsed during a high school football game.

The mother brought him to the doctor and was told it was a normal flu. So she took the kid back home and treated it as normal flu. a few days later the kid was rushed into the hospital with trouble breathing and died.

    He had the swine flu.

If you are a sucker for numbers:

Situation major outbreak of some sort of deadly swine flue epidemic worldwide
US death toll: some 5000 max
    Worldwide: some 200.000.000 min

Now some people wonder why you vaccinate in a country that has medical cure for the illness in some 99% of the cases.
It's practically a waste of time, assuming that the whole thinking about the swine flue isn't.

People die, it's a sad thing, but they do.

There is an equal chance he could've been hit by a car, mugged on the way home, ect.

What i'm saying is that people die of everything each day, swine flu isn't making people die in droves, we're not at risk as a human race, but the meda just jumps at things like rabid dogs these days.

Not to say I don't feel sorry for that boy and his family, but these things happen.

I'm not sure I'll be getting this vaccine. Our teacher was telling us yesterday about his wife's friend who is a nurse who claims that she knows whats in the vaccine and will refuse to get it herself. I'll wait and hear about how the vaccine is doing for people before I decide to get it or not.

Send mine out to a foreign country. I don't need that garbage.

Flu shots do more harm than good.

Well it broke out late last week here where I live. Half of my class, including me, got all the symptoms. Startin to get better now tho, but now the other half of the class has started getting sick. Also the garrison here was struck by the epidemic.

I gotta say, it's one of the worst things I've gone through. And Finland's flu shot handling sucks big time. They're so slow with em that the flu will be over by the time they've given it to like 25% of the people.

Why waste all of the microchips on a poor country?

If you were one of the risico groups, for example a pregnant woman, would you get it?

I am just asking, because there are zero people worldwide now that have been vaccinated and have after that gone through pregnancy perfectly with a healthy baby.

    Wow haha

I liked how you guys said that the Swine flu would be semi-harmless and that it wouldn't be such a big deal when it first got broadcasted.

    You guys were wrong.

Nope... we are right. The media is just full of a bunch of ******s making this into the next big thing. Remember the Avian flu? Yes I'm sure you dont. That was suppose to be the next biggest thing since AIDS.

    Take a look at this:

Yea I bet that puts it into perspective. The media loves to blow shit out of proportion. This whole thing is just BS. And don't you dare give me a vaccine that hasn't been properly tested.
