Resident Evil IV Starts Filming

September 30, 2009 - Principal photography has commenced in Toronto on Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth installment (but the first in 3-D) in Screen Gems' games-to-film franchise. The first film's director, Paul W.S. Anderson, is back at the helm, and he also scripted and will produce.

Milla Jovovich returns as Alice while Ali Larter and Spencer Locke reprise their roles from Resident Evil: Extinction as Claire Redfield and K-Mart, respectively. And, as rumored, Prison Break's Wentworth Miller has been cast as Claire's brother Chris Redfield.

Also new to the cast are Shawn Roberts (I Love You, Beth Cooper), who replaces Jason O'Mara in the role of the villainous Albert Wesker, Boris Kodjoe (Surrogates) and Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy).

I personally will be looking forward to this, because I like all the movies from Resident Evil no matter how cheesy or bad they are

The movie might be pretty good I thought the others were pretty decent. And RE 4 is the only one I actually beat =o

No offense, but resident evil is a good series, 1 and 2 would've been a much better hit if they used the main characters, and not subs, such as that black cop, and that one chick who was in love with him.

Hmmm...I bet its also because Leon was animated, and it was exactly him, ya know? Its always hard to find an actor who completely fits the role, and by animating it...they couldn't fail

Is Leon even in this movie, I see no mention of him in the OP. Wasn't Jensen Ackles supposed to play Leon in the new film?
