First time snow boarding?
If so, i'd personnaly go with the cheap one so if it isn't your thing you don't lose too much money.

I truthfully don't know. Neither brands are name brands really 5150 is kinda but they are known for really bad quality and Head I have never heard of. I would suggest further looking for a 2005 or 2006 Ride, K2, Burton etc they should be about $150 if that since they are 3-4 yrs old. Think of it this way, you can get a brand new 2008 snowboard for 50% off right now so you should be able to get a 3-4yr old used snowboard for well over 80% off.
the 80% off is eBay or CraigsList which you already use.

ba i think im just going to save up my money to buy a legit board off a website or something. Then i just found out i got paid $88 not $173. i Raged cuz i worked 25 hours for the past 2 weeks and that should be around $140 or something.
