Default RPGs for the Nintendo DS

Well, I've decided to get a Nintendo DS. I absolutely love handheld RPGs (i.e. the Pokemon series, Golden Sun, FFTA) and I was wondering what are some of the better (or your favorite) RPGs for the DS? I already have a few in mind which are FFTA2, Pokemon Platinum, Final Fantasy 3/4, Disgaea, Nostalgia and Avalon Code.

Anyone have any other suggestions? Or your opinions on any of the games I've listed?

I also was wondering if I should get the DSi or just the DS Lite, given the DSi is $170 at my gamestop and the DS Lite is only $80.

Thanks in advance guys and gals!

P.S. I know this is similar to another thread (http://www.onrpg.com/boards/145469.html) and yes, I did read every post there. I did get some ideas on a few games, but I'm not satisfied yet. I didn't want to res that thread either.

DS if you want to run gba also, So just get DSi if you just plan on just ds games.

Lately Ive been playing Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans

If you plan on playing lots of games I suggest buying a flashcart (Cant really give details)

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time was pretty fun, but you could also go with Pokemon as an obvious choice.

Pretty much all of the RPGs on the DS are grindfests and not really anything particularly interesting story wise. If you want RPGs, you should've just gotten a PS2.

What makes you think I don't have a PSX, PS2, PS3 and PSP?

Regarding whether you should get a DSi or DS lite, I have this to say.

If you plan on getting a flash cart or plan on using the web browsing more, go for the DSi.

If you just want it purely for games, go for the DS lite.

    Games:
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. (Recommended)

Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story. (Never-Played)

    Suikoden Tierkreis. (Decent)

The World Ends With You. (Recommended)

Chrono Trigger (Not Recommended, if you played the Ps1 or SNES before, countless times. No real reason)

Pokemon (I still miss the old school Pokemon, but Pearl and Diamond and..what is the third one? Are still solid.)

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon: (Recommended, I always loved Fire Emblem, they are really good. Plus this one has Marth, if you played SSBM/SSBB you know who that is)

    Luminous Arc 1 (Good, but...short)

    Luminous Arc 2 (Never Played)

    Final Fantasy III (Pretty good.)

Final Fantasy IV (Same as above.)

Knights in the Nightmare (Seriously decent. If you can understand it, you will be happy)

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (If you think Fire Emblem is for wimps..get this, and cry. Its difficult. Get this. And. Cry.)

And i agree with above poster get a flash cart (R4DS is amazing) if you really plan on gaming it up on the DS.
I like how nobody wants to go "legit" and just buy their games.

My R4 has played every game that has came out.

I don't see why people say it sucks, but meh.

Anyways, Phantasy Star 0 battle system is horrid, I have no clue why people even remotely like the game.

    Thanks for the replies everyone

Getting more of an idea on what games I should get. Chrono Trigger is seeming more and more appealing as I look at it.
