    I was wondering if there's any video of Mobile Suit Gundam containing that shrill sound effect that was used for alerting or lock-ons

    Try at about 1:43. Also, if you look up Journey to Jaburo, I recall that just about all the levels begin with that noise.

    No I meant as in separating that specific sound from all the other sounds

    If there are other sounds playing at the same time as the sound you want, not much you can do about it.
