I've heard that it's really Cash shop dependant. So unless you have money to spare, I suggest you don't spend too much time on Mabinogi.

If we talk about US Mabinogi, that changed a long time ago.

Oh. I've never played Mabinogi so I was just telling him what I heard. So what's the rebirth thing now? How do you get them instead of buying them with NX?

Cash shop dependant in the beginning, as u're gonna atleast need a mount. Walking is too crazy especially when u're doing those mainstream quests. Other than that, perhaps get a pet or two for the inventory.

With that being said, those that rebirth every week will outlevel u easily

    Free rebirth every three week.

How long does it usually take you to rebirth. 3 Weeks seem's alot more then you need.

    Mount thing is true enough.

If all you do is straight level then yeah rebirthing every week would be a lot faster, but there's much more than that to do really.

I just started a new char on the newest server.

How much are the mounts for and do they last forever or are they timed like maplestory CS. And when you say changed is that for the good or the bad? and also how many times can you rebirth in the game, what is rebirthing for, and how much is it?

Also about the classes I've heard that certain classes go along certain races. Unless I've heard wrong and non of those are right and there aren't any classes in the game at all because I can't see it in the game info

You define your own class. Train Magic to be the Caster. Train Melee for ... well, fighter. Train crafting skills to be ...... crafter...

    I think Mount is forever.
Also, make a Human char. Then you can get Elf and Giant premium for free when you visit their homeland.

Your mount lasts forever but you can only use it 90 minutes a day, if not shorter or longer depending on the mount. As for rebirths, you can reborn infinite times, even to a point where every single one one of your skills are maxed, and you rebirth to get skill points to further level up your skills, thats all rebirth is for. If you wait three weeks its free to reborn, but you pay about 10 dollars i beleive for one character card.
If you want to sue bow and arrows and run a little faster you should play as elves, but always start as human cause if you make your way to the elf or giant town you get a free elf card or giant card. There arn't any classes, but how you set up your skills determines what type of class your trying to play as, you can even have a little of everything, but i dont recommend it.
Another thing, armors dont matter in this game, and trying to get the "best" weapon is pointless, cause they can break to a point upon no repair.
    Hopefully i answered your questions:P

Ohh alright. So if no one wants to have the best equipment in this game does that mean there's no pvp? I mean you may not need the best equipment to win in pvp but you at least need some proper equipment for your lvl

Armor makes a big difference mainly because of enchants. Defense is not that important unless you plan on using specific tactics that require defense (for example, windmill+heal on siren), cloth armor lets you use 2 accessories which can make for higher damage if you add enchants to them, but that's expensive (accessories can't be repaired, or rather, they can but at an unreasonable price.)

Just play the game now, don't worry much about equipment, first objective for you is to get all the basic skills, get counter, windmill, defense, and ice bolt (important).
Read some guides on combat (I have one, which can be found here) , or watch some video guides. This will help you a great deal to understand how the combat works, so you don't die as much while learning all by yourself.

Once you got the hang of combat, I recommend you get a hatchet, is an excellent beginner weapon, high critical and balance (important for new characters), upgrade it to something like 178 or 190, the numbers are the total proficiency required to complete the Upgrade Sequence.

Also try to get fox and giant enchants, which are great for new characters. But for this you'll probably need some gold first, so don't worry about it that much, but if you happen to run across a fox item, keep it.

Also, I highly recommend you train windmill first, excellent skill.

    _

Do all the beginners quests, and remember that if you can't kill something required for these quests, is not because your level is not enough, is because you are doing something wrong, so keep practicing, and learn to read the monsters skills.

Finally, don't rank Sharp Mind, don't waste your AP on that.

Ohh alright, I guess I'm going to have to get the free elf card since I messed up and put on points on sharp mind. And how do you get to the elf and giant village and how do you get the character cards?

For the elf card you have to go to Iria first (from the menu click change continent) open the world map and look for the desert to the east, city of Filia, is a long walk, so I'd recommend you ask some nice fellow to take you there via Mana Tunnel.

The Giant Town is north of iria, and I'd also recommend to ask someone to Mana Tunnel you there.

To get the card, talk to the leader of the race, and make an alliance with them, I don't exactly recall how you do that, it was probably a keyword while speaking to the NPC (look it up on the wiki).

Keep in mind that you can only join a side per day, so if you want an elf card first make an alliance with the elves first, and then if you want to get a giant card you have to break the alliance with the elves, wait 24 hours and then make an alliance with the giants.

I remember walking all the way to the giant village to get the free card.

I was lost in some stupid tunnel for like an hour.

For wanting to train your bowman type character, the path you would want to take is:

Windmill to at LEAST rank 9. Most would train it to rank 1 but some people don't to max out the win skill. I mean if you compare the range from 9 to 1, its HUGE. You also get a range increase at rank 5 but if you go to 5 you might as well rank it up to one.

While working on windmill, you should work on refining. It gives you dex which increases your range damage. You want to work on it early in the game because at R2 you need a certain number of fails to progress to rank one.

After that feel free to rank up your ranged attack skill or any other skill you want.

You should also pick up all the basic magic bolts when you get the chance. They'll save your *** in dungeons and which gives you the chance to use tactics like ice counter, fire counter, etc.

    Grinding skills is.

And yes, get Windmill first, and try not to increase anything else you don't really really need, or it will get extremely harder to train higher lv of Windmill.
