Default So, allods in like an hour.

First time trying it out missed the first beta, so anyone else waiting on it?, are all the accounts wiped from old beta?
And what will your IGN be?

Mine: Nawras/Hope, Hope gets taken really fast but i'll do my best :x

    Nope, nothing. I even signed up like a month before the CBT ;_;

I have an US beta key though (because there are like 100k of them >.>), maybe I should just try that one out, despite the lag. Is it IP blocked?

Don't get too excited, Allods fails in pretty much every way. I know it's in beta testing - but even still. The changes that need to be made are far from cosmetic, most of the problems lie with the core mechanics themselves. For one, the combat is both very slow and very dull. Once I dinged 3 I wanted to kill myself as it made me go out and grind 8 more Sewer Slugs, or whatever they were called. The WASDA controls are okay at best, at times they can be unresponsive and that can be frustrating. The graphics are nice, but even on my decent computer the game never really ran smooth. I tried a few of the classes - I don't recall there names accept for the "Psionist", if I spelled that right, and I honestly couldn't get passed the second or third level with any of them before I quit out of shear boredom. My highest was a level seven, and by then I felt like banging my head on my desk repeatedly. It was just that bad.

I'll give them one thing though, the scripted sequences at the beginning are pretty cool. But then it goes downhill, fast. I would recommend RoM over this.

Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean other people wont, I hate RoM with a passion. People who say games are rubbish because they think that they are really tick me off.

I personally prefer this game over RoM. Yes, it has it's problems but they can be fixed. The only thing that even bothers me is the slow combat and lack of auto attack but that's it.

You really don't like any game do you? Your negative on everything. jeez.

The wasd controls are perfect, i don't know what game you played.

I played allods on my gamer pc and a shitty laptop, ran perfect on both.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion as do you. But the problem with your opinion is no one cares about it. People will be playing AO as much as people are playing RoM. As you stated you didn't like the mechanics of the game and its understandable. You're more adjusted to the likes of RoM and others like Allods. So, glhf with RoM and we'll have fun with Allods, not a win or a loss.

I actually quit RoM too, as it goes downhill right after you pick your second class. It's like choosing shit over garbage, you're gonna lose either way. I wouldn't waste my time on either of them.

Well the game runs well on an intel card of course there are gonna lag spikes though. I'm wondering why his decent pc couldn't run it smoothly mostly are net connection sucks, or you have a even more shitty card then me.

I'm rocking an 8600GT with 512DDR3, 4 gigs of ram, and a dual core clocked at about 2.4ghz. And still the game chugs at random intervals.

Thats 2 times the spec of the laptop i played it on while visiting my mom last month.

Played it smooth as silk on it, had some shitty nvidia card and 1 gb ram.

The reasons combat feels slow are 1. no auto attack 2. enemies have an assload of hp.

Both of those are pretty easily fixable.

The slow combat is just the tip of the iceberg - half the time I felt like I was hitting air. And the opening scripted events are pretty ridiculous; you're a level 1/2 character with nothing but a blade in your hand and yet you're taking down mobs that are decked out in epic gear? Yeah - right.

And I love your avatar, hate your sig. Dragon Age was a beast to beat.
