    Hide and shoot sounds and awful lot like generic stealth abilities in so many mmorpgs. I remember seeing that the smuggler could take cover behind objects, but even that is nothing more than entering a different combat mode. (+def -movement, gain use of diff abilities)

    i think you should go to see some vids about the fighting system...its really a bit different. SO last comment in this thread..its stupid to go on.

    I have seen lots of gameplay videos, unlike most of the people on these forums, I don't just spew words out of my mouth to help my argument. All I am saying is that there is nothing revolutionary about TOR, that isn't saying its gonna suck though. It will be an extremely well done, high quality mmorpg, probably one I play for a long time, but I believe that STO has more going for it.

    You can apply for the closed beta though, going on right now, not sure how long its gonna last, I wanna take a guess and say till the end of the year.

    Nah, because I get my gaming laptop on the 15th, and then applying, then waiting to get accepted, if I do, would take too long. Darn, guess if it is going p2p I am going to have to pass

    Actually, people on the forums have been complaining because very few people who did sub for CO got into the closed beta. Most closed beta players haven't even touched CO.
