No I watched the new trailer too. I was talking about rewatching the teaser trailer. I am not a troll either, just stating my opinion, I don't like technology in my medieval games. Magically powered technology like device though, are fine.

The Asuran's don't use technology, they use magic to create devices which we would think of as technology. The robots are little more than golems, magical constructs of inorganic material. The guns are what I have a problem with. They use gunpowder (or a similar substance) which I just don't like in medieval rpgs due to fact that like I said above, its impossible to do it justice without rendering every other weapon mostly obsolete and/or very situational.

I am aware that the game will have stats, I know they will balance out the guns and bows, but not in a way that will make alot of sense (guns have the ability to shoot faster, farther, and stronger in just about every situation). WoW had guns and it was little more than a different looking skin for ranged weapons. I also know that its only the Charr that will use the guns. Explosive siege weapons are fine with me, its more of the style that the guns are in that I don't like, the giant bayonet is the main thing...unless you can use it for melee attacks like a sword (huge advantage over all other ranged weapons unless of course the gun part sucks) take it off, if you can use, I would still prefer a smaller bayonet, I am not a fan of the really big, unrealistic weapons.

@Corleone, I am not talking about technological advances precisely, I guess I should have been more specific. There is just a certain point where the level of technology got to where I start losing interest in the time period (near the end of the medieval period/introduction of gunpowder.) If they must put guns in, I just wish they made them a whole lot more basic looking and used them for close range fighting (which is all hand held gunpowder weapons were good for when they were first introduced). I personally think that something more like this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_cannon, would more interesting, give ranged characters a powerful (but very slow firing...sloooooooooooow) close quarters weapon, and I am sure that NCSoft could make some amazing looking hand cannons. You could make them really powerful up close, fire very slowly, and accuracy dips after a certain distance. Would be fun to use as a R/W or W/R. Perfect gun to finish off running enemies, one massive damage shot, no chance for them to get out of range before they die. And about the Asurans, their "technology" is magic based and less scientific based which is why I have no problem with them. I don't consider golems or anything else that is powered by magic to be out of place no matter how advanced it is or in what time period its in because, well, magic doesn't exist in our world.

Charr appeal the most to me, the industrial culture appeals more to me than religious fanaticism, naturists or pompous midgets.

I am probably going to play as an Asuran dervish/elementalist. (That is...if they keep the current class system, otherwise, just elementalist. (or w/e they call the mage if they change it up)) When they first started letting info out about Guild Wars 2, they made some comments that hinted towards a complete rework of the entire class and skill system.

The new trailer was mostly just a preview of the races. First one had more story to it. (And a killer art style for most of it)
