As long as it has a sub I'm cool with it. So while I would spend $50-100, I don't see myself spending over 50. I've had the same set of speakers for 6 years and they still work great.

I would spend quite a bit. I managed to get some worth around $200 but got them for $15 due to awesome Kmart clearances.

Well, I'm currently looking to spend £200 on headphones, which is basically about $360.

Even then, it's going to be another £80 for a good sound card and £100 for an Amplifier.

    So, a lot.

Spent $60 on my headphones.. yay for amazon.com sales.
Spent $150 on my speakers. The best thing I can recommend is go for brands that are well known, look around for deals, look at reviews and go for quality. Cheap speakers are depressing.

I got a 5.1 surround sound system for my computer for $60 and I'm pretty happy with it. With sound systems you're either spending <$100 or >$500.

I got some old-model creative 2.1s for 30 bucks a few years ago for my desktop.

A bargain for the awesome sound it delivers, but they're getting kind of old, so if I could, I would wanna spend 60-100 bucks upgrading to a 5.1 system.

Bose sound systems are amazing. I tried some bose headphones once and they have amazing high frequencies with just the right amount of bass. Talk about ear-gasim

I want the best sound as possible. So the speakers that give me the best sound win. I don't care about the price, as long it doesn't go up to 400+ euro.

Up to 200 bucks. Although I'll spend more for sick headphones like Sennheisers or even Dr. Dre's headphones. If I have the money, of course.

I spent $80 on mine about 2 years ago and still use them a lot.

The price on these actually went up from when I bought them.
