Mabinogi NA new skill and new stuff Dec 10th 2009
Check out the newest addition to the Mabinogi YouTube channel, the new Mabinogi: Dragon skills! Absorb damage and give yourself more room to make errors with Mana Shield. As an elf, teleport around the screen firing arrows with Final Shot. The Giant ability, Taunt makes monsters attack you instead of your friends. You can use taunt in conjunction with another new Giant ability called Wind Guard, a sort of fusion between Defense and Counter Attack.
Zardine Hot Springs
You’ve spend a long, hard day in the dungeons...now it’s time to relax! Perhaps you have a swimsuit you’d like to show off? Head to the Zardine hot springs for a relaxing dip in warm, soothing pools of water. It’s even said that the magical waters of the region have a special effect on those who bathe in them!
When you get to the hot springs, take a look around and decide which relaxation therapy best suits your needs. Some pools will increase your muscle mass, others will reduce it. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll need to spend a considerable amount of time in a particular pool before you’ll notice a visual change.
As you lounge about the pools, you may notice curious primates nosing around. These monkeys are probably hungry, and sharing your food might brighten their spirits.
Depending on how much the monkey enjoys the food you’ve fed it (those picky critters like home-cooked meals over store-bought ones), you will be given something in exchange, a token of the monkey’s gratitude, so to speak. The monkeys of Zardine are known to be collectors, so if you give them something they’ll go bananas over, you may receive something amazing in return! Such items include a Hot Spring Cap, Battle Short Sword, Marshal Shield Enchant, crafting items, and even gemstones!
Renes Egg-Guarding Mini Game
Been yearning for the good ol’ days? Did defending a lonesome camp in the middle of Connous Desert from zombies tickle your nostalgia for chaos? Looking to bring back the excitement of defending an objective?
Look no further! Renes, an island north of Zardine and the location of the climax of the exciting Dragon storyline, is host to one of the fun new features in Mabinogi. Upon logging into Mabinogi, you will receive a quest to investigate Renes (you either need to complete the Dragon storyline or your party leader must have the quest to investigate Renes). Visit Legatus, north of Calida Exploration Camp. Legatus will bless you, granting you and your party access to the cave on Renes Island.
Once you make your way into the cave, you’ll see several golden dragon eggs. After you finish the introductory movie, waves of monsters will attack the eggs. You must stop them! Don’t let them break any eggs! You’ll have to employ every strategy you know, as the waves get more and more difficult as you clear each one.
If the difficulty becomes too much for your party, extinguish the flames on the four pillars surrounding the eggs. This will stop the beasts from spawning, and you’ll be able to cut your losses. If the eggs are destroyed, you will receive nothing for your efforts, so know when make a hasty retreat!
Complete the mini game as best as you can then return to Legatus and Belita for your just reward! This fun new mini game will be available in the upcoming update to Mabinogi, so keep your eyes out for further news and updates!
