I was hoping for more info.
This weapon sounds pretty amazing, I generally dislike how rockets are super slow. But I live on splash damage, ugh.

Now this is a TRUE sidegrade weapon. It benefits some styles of play but discourages others. This will make soldiers more effective against sentries (80% faster rockets, engineers will not be able to keep up with the damage) but a disadvantage towards scouts, because they are so hard to hit head on.
I guess it'll also take some time to get used to, having the faster rockets and smaller radius.

probably the new best midrange gun with the rocket speed. Though i would still prefer the regular rocket launcher as the splash is what makes it so effective with kritzkreig. Also harder to deal with pyros as shooting the ground is no longer as viable when dealing with those punks

Who told you that :P ?

Pyro can airblast off arrow on pointblank distance !
Arrows are the fastest "projectiles" right now (that are visible and airblastable), I don't think that 80% faster rocket will be any bigger threat for them .

80% faster rockets doesn't mean impossible to airblast

Also, this is awesome thinking by Valve. Gives different choices for players, and I'll definitely be using this, but it'll take time.. I live off of splash damage as soldier.
Yeah, if the clip size + reload speed is the same as the current rocket launcher, I can see this being very effective. If it's allowed in competitive play, it may just replace the rocket launcher completely, as long as the rocketjump isn't affected. Also, soldiers will need to work on getting their shotgun aim down against scouts if they want to use this weapon, since you rely on splash damage to kill them.

They just updated the two last weapons for the Soldier, and the last weapon for the Demo.

A pickaxe that becomes stronger if the Soldier gets damaged and a flag that buffs your team. Pretty interesting ideas.
