There are like 4-5 kids in my school, obssesed with anime. Constantly reading mangas in class, dressing as naruto, trying to speak Japanese.

*Note: They are all caucasian except for 1 Spanish girl.

It's quite weird, they are very anti-social tend to be but into conversations and annoy others.

That is over the line. They shouldn't do it in school. They better not go around QQing that they get beaten or anything for what they are doing. Is it really hard to hold it to yourself until the school ends or at least keep it in a normal conversation level?

back when i used to be addicted to anime, i hid it very well.

absolutely no one but maybe two or three of my best friends who i grew up with knew.


and now i just outgrew it. Seeing the same things over and over and over again in anime with no repitition or change, the lame dialogue, and such, is just not for me anymore. there are probably only a few series out there that interest me at all.

as for those weird otaku's... yeah. every school has them. I don't care if they flaunt it and such since they usually keep to themselves. nothing disturbed.

although, going to anime conventions such as OTAKON is actually a lot of fun. putting a buncha nerds and geeks together in one room results in some pretty interesting dialogue.

I hated their interesting dialogue. It's irritating, how they spammed and 2x post while talking, =.=

I always find Black dudes into anime kinda being... out of place haha. It's just a really huge contrast when you think about culture and context, but of course in this day and age everyone can be exposed to anything, globalisation etc.

My best friend is into all that. So is my girlfriends brothers girlfriend (LOL WUT).

They are both rather normal people, who live normal lives, and neither of them are fugly.

Thats 90% of the people I know who like anime that are girls.

Anyways, my friends are the people in school you would never expect to be into anime. Even some of the most "gangster" kids in my school like anime which surprises me.

Most people who LOVE anime are weird in some way very few are normal. By this I mean people who obsess over it and take it to extremes. Cosplay to me does not count as long as you don't come to school dressed up as an anime character I don't find it a problem. When I was in school a lot of people liked anime and most weren't weird.

I know exactly what OP is talking about, and it makes me rage just as hard.

It will always be some weird *** kids with neckbeards (not always just boys) and shitty hot topic clothing. They think that they are creating "art" by drawing kawai piece of shit anime drawings. Yes, I know, manga and anime ARE a form of art, but there is a big difference between what these basement dwellers are doing and what manga artists do.

You see, before you can create a style you need to actually know the basics of anatomy and perspective. That what you can convey them in a much more simplistic form like anime. Cutting corners with dogshit youtube tutorials on "how to draw manga" makes them all cookie cutting faggots. Then they enter this shit into art shows and whatnot at my school and expect praise for it.

I've finished 150 + anime(That's just since I started recording) like last december.

I in no way am declaring no shana is the best however it is a GREAT anime(Excluding the second series, S was great).


Please, if I watch bad stuff I'd love to hear what's "Good".

Ever seen lost, heroes, star trek? Daxter, etc etc... Comedy cartoons vs comedy anime?

can't really compare shows that use real actors to depict characters with "tv shows" that use drawn/made characters...it doesn't give off the same vibe.
And I've seen Heroes and Daxter~ one or two episodes of lost as well~ for some reason I can't seem to get drawn into those characters as much as anime characters. I don't know why~ maybe its the voice acting, maybe its the expression on those drawn faces which cannot be reproduced in reality....maybe its the excessive gore/action/event that happens which will never happen in real-world tv shows without use of CGI and props~

in anime, everything and nothing is real~ while some components of lost, heroes, or w/e other tv shows out there can happen in reality while others cannot. (I am just talking out of my arse here now lol)

as for comparing comedy cartoons with comedy anime...2 different types of entertainment with 2 different styles of production.
