What exactly is laser tag?

I never quite understood what it is. I tried paintballing and had a blast. Is laser tag similar?

I've always pictured laser tag to be the same as paintball, but for the younger crowd (children). A friend of mine brought it up a while ago, and got me curious.

Anyone here has any interesting experience/insight relative to it? Thanks.

You strap on a vest with a bunch of sensors on it and a gun attached. If someone shoots you they score a point and you can't shoot for a period of time. It's quite a bit of fun.

Stupidest crap ever. I tried it since i was a little kid, like 4 or 5 times? Last time i went which was like 3 years ago, i won and got in first place.

Why? Because there were these little 9 year olds running around so i walked around behind them and kept shooting them, scoring unlimited points.

Basically i was hacking.

laser tag is pretty fun.

Saying it sucks because of all the kids isn't really valid imo.

Like any group activity, obviously it's going to be better if you're playing it with a group of intelligent/mature people.

For a long time the military has actually used a version of this for training exercises that does administer a shock to let the soldier know that they have been hit and also to administer a little fear into them about the reality of being hit in combat so they learn how to deal with said fear. On the recreational end of it, it was popular during the 90's but from the ones I use to see around where I live, most have closed.

I came across some 12 year olds in lasertag, and they said numerous things that made me stifle a lol.

So stick to paintball like I do. Never lasertag. Did I mention that it's more expensive to play lasertag as well? Entrance wise, I mean.

I used to play this before paintball was big.

Then paintball came out, and I just didn't bother with it.

Theres a place in the mall, but theres always those VIP assholes with the machine gun thing that just win every round...

I do Airsoft with my friends every once in a while. I've never done Paintball or Laser Tag.

I played once in this game where it was like all the employees against the employees of some competing laser tag place. They were pretty impressive (they like fire in funny ways to prevent their sensors from being exposed lol)

Playing with little kids is fun, especially when you push them on the floor and then run away. It's all dark anyway, screw em!
