3d software for beginner?

Whats a good 3d-modeling/rending software anyone can recommand for a beginner?

For the most part 3D modelling programs are basically the same.

However, in my experience, 3DSMax comes with more tutorials and guides for the newbies than other applications.

Still not all that easy to understand at first however. But, if you stick to it and keep at it, you should eventually overcome any obstacles.
