Default "Shadow of a Crimson Kingdom" Rpg

It is a First Person View (FPV) RPG set in a massive environment (hence the name). It is one of the few games ever made where you can actually see a realistic distance. For example, you can see mountains that are far away that would take you over 10 minutes to get to on foot! It is also one of the few games that will feature combat based off of the movement of your mouse. You actually swing the sword by moving the mouse in the direction that you want it to move!

    Pre-alpha view distance example:

    And here's a pre-alpha gameplay video:

You can also download the latest version at anytime. You can find the link under the Download and Play section on the main site.

Just thought I'd toss this out there. And if you are interested in helping out with development in anyway, toss me a pm.

Just wanted to say thanks for spreading that word, and yes please do keep an eye out for this game, because I am doing my best to make it awesome. I am currently focusing on getting the combat system nailed down, so a lot of the other stuff may look a bit lacking, such as the skeletons flying backwards when you hit them, or the unfinished environment and textures.
Most of what you see in the game now is all placeholder art, just stuff that came with the engine.
I will, however, fix the mobs flying backwards in the next revision

Also, I just uploaded a new video and a new client download link, if anyone is interested:

    and

    Enjoy
Hey, since you are the disgner, I was wondering, I downloaded the game, and I have Radeon HD 4850 (which means I dont have nvidia physics, and I cannot get inside the game) hmm what could it be? how can I fix it. thx.
    It says, Cannot intilyze physics.

only that wurm went wrong way and the idea got wasted imho

I think you're thinking of Die by the Sword. It was old, but very advanced for its time.

You can play with ATI. Just just need to download the latest PhysX drivers, here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.1112.html

Yeah, I'm going to look into getting a mirror up. Thanks for the advice.

And thanks everyone for the interest .

Bravo on this project, it looks great for an "Alpha video"

Once you fix those Skeletons and their ability to fly backwards, send me the youtube link.

As said die by the sword but, also Daggerfall and Arena used this, so did Morrowind, kinda.

    Hi there Mike,
first off, great job on how your game looks so far. Excellent job on handling the massive draw distance and the general looks of the terrain!
I'm working on a game project as well right now and thus know how much work it is. I'm very interested in the engine you are using for your game and I hope you dont mind if I ask you a couple of questions about your work.
First off, did you purchase the Full (10.000 $) License for the engine or did you pick one of the slimmed down licenses?
What programming language do you use to work with the engine? Or is it a drag and drop type of development system?
Are the client and server components included in the engine or do you plan on making those yourself later on?
Thanks for your time and good luck with you project
