Video converter

Does anyone know a good video converter? I'm trying to covert some files into avi, but when it converts the subtitles don't appear. Are there any converters out there which will keep the subtitles?

I don't quite agree, although it's a good converter.

If the subs are softcoded it won't convert the subs along them unless you manually add the subs.

if its to make your own dvd's then use convertXtoDVD

if my parents ask me to burn them a movie i allways use this one
