Ps3 or xbox360?

Well im happy with the ps3 since we're getting MAG, FF XII Versus, FF XIV and God of War 3. The line up this year looks pretty good for the ps3. But at the moment the 360 has a "better" online community as well as a wider variety of games. The only thing that stopped from getting 1 was i have to pay for online and the whole red ring ordeal.

I prefer a Ps3, I've always prefered Sony though.

According to a lot of my friends, they like the Xbox360 for its controller and it has a lot of Shooter games...

Now, PS3 apparently will have the most RPG's out of them, (Feb/March is a good example) and I believe is graphically and system-wise better. Of course, I am no "System Expert" but I believe Sony has the stronger system.

XBOX LIVE = Only positive over PS3 (excluding prefences like games)

PS3 online community = A lonely joke. No team work because no one has a mic.

Get a PS3 then, it will have both FFXIIIs where as the XBOX360 will only have 1 as far as we know.

Plus Blu-Ray player.

EDIT: I have both systems. Opinions are not manifestations of blind hate.

Not everyone loves Final Fantasy, and blu-ray players will be available soon for cheaper.

I'm still not getting the red ring stigma.

I've had mine in the same spot, unmoved, since May '07, I play it frequently, and I've never had an issue.

Well this isn't about everyone. This isn't a which console is better thread, It's a which is better for me thread.

I havn't had the red ever but all of my friends--that have xboxs--have. Mircrosoft is good when they handle Red Ring claims but your 360 could be gone for months. I heard with the elite it is less common, and i'm sure the red ring is related of overheart alot. My friend kept his in a slot that barely fit the 360 and had little to no ventalation the entire time he had it.

I think a lot of overheating problems come from people who stand their 360 vertically which effectively blocks off the biggest air vent on the console. Wheras I keep mine horizontal on a seperate table next to my tv so it has enough space not to overheat

Although the overheating problem is handled pretty much when you buy the intercooler.
