Simply put, I enjoy games like these two.
I've recently quit wurm and so I'm looking at these two.
Could you guys be so kind as to give me some pros/cons.

Reputation: 10I dont know anything about MO only Darkfall~
But in darkfall everything you do improves your character, running, swimming, crafting, minning, ect. you focus on your character as a whole not just pinpoint one prat ( like just magic ) so you do everything~ The grind is not bad at all. they improve the game every patch and expansion the devs listen to the players. almost everything in the patches and expansions is what players requested on the forums.
What happens when you die in Darkfall? I saw what happens in MO and I wasn't pleased.

Reputation: 10MO is like vikingish and DF is fantasy
Dude any of the hardcore PVP games you drop what you have on~ you can EASILY craft the gear you lose. when you die in DF you can get rezzed or get ganked and die. all you do is lose your items and do back to your town. in games like this items dont really have value
mortal online has gone for the realism card, if you get killed in real life you could get robbed of your possesions right? same as in mortal online.
easy answer Darkfall is crap try out mortal online .... but if you want you can try out both and decide for your self ...

Reputation: 28Well yeah.. i said a week.. my bad.. I was thinking 7x24 hours = and your char is done..
I should have said month - 2 months bcause for everything you gotta find good spot, have money for skills and regs etc.
As soon as you'll get in the game you'll understand why week isnt enough to even learn basics.

Darkfall is terrible because :
1. Poor PvP system, no actual skill involved, especially in large group combat. It's just a zerg fest of mass spamming.
2. Even in 1 on 1, if you are a pure melee character, you will lose. Period.
3. There is no specialization of skills, meaning at some point in time everyone is virtually the same character. This was the result of poor game design, and really cannot be fixed.
Mortal Online by no means is even close to perfect, but the game design itself is solid, meaning all they have to do is fix how they implement those concepts. You can build your character any way you want, but there's an emphasis on specialization, as if you do a jack of all trades character you won't be able to do everything well, just average.
Combat is currently a little too fast in Mortal Online, however this issue has already been raised with the devs and they know about it. There's alot of lag issues with the game right now, and tons of bugs. If you can put up with that, then yes, Mortal Online is great and far better than Darkfall. However, I would simply wait until a few months after the game is released before I buy it if I were you. I love PvP centric games so it's fine with me (long time Eve Online player), however it might not be up to par for you at the moment.
