Just a heads up, jailbreaking for 3G is tethered, meaning everytime you restart your ipod touch you have to jailbreak it agian.

On topic, Apple Store ? My brother just got a new one from the Apple Store, opted against iPhone 3GS for the upcoming Google Phone. Its always safest to buy from the main store I guess.

Best apps that I've found are anything that you currently frequent/use on your computer. I could do without a youtube app, but God forbid me go without ESPN, my google voice account, or my NY Times app. I'd also recommend a few entertaining games to keep you, well, entertained. I'd suggest Eliminate 016 for a free FPS, and Unblock for Free for a puzzle game. Finger Physics is also a very neat game. There's an APP called "I Am T-Pain"
And basically whenever you turn it on you can sound like your using auto-tune.
Even make phone calls (If using a I-Phone) with it.
I think with the Touch you can record with it.

Seed 1 is a good time consuming RPG. Let's you change 4 different classes and train each one anytime you want. Each weapon has 6 skills and you can level them up by using them more and more. And it's free!!!

Bladeangel is a fun little side-scroller. Level up and use bots to help you clear out stages.

Guardian Soul is an alchemist RPG. Gather different stones to get better equips and morph into strong elemental monsters.

Zenonia is another RPG. Kinda reminds me of a Zelda RPG and is usually recommended to all iPhone/iTouch users.

Hybrid is yet another RPG. Pretty much a stage side-scroller and only cost 99 cents. Worth it in my opinion.

Elimiate Pro is the best online FREE FPS. Pretty much room based deathmatches describes the whole game.

Recently I picked up N.O.V.A which is another FPS. All I can say is Halo for the iPhone.

Chronicles of Inotia 2 is another semi-new RPG. Five classes to choose from and I think another class is supposed to be introduced soon.

Blade Master is a good side-scrolling action RPG that's pretty cheap. Level up dagger, 1 handed sword or 2 handed slayer.

But yeah if you just want it for music I would just reccoment a normal iPod or MP3 player. There are some good free apps (check my post on page one), but the novelty of them wears off eventually.

I think if you have a phone that can create a wireless access point you can actually have more use of the iTouch than I did.

Seed is only good because it's free. Wasn't free when I got it D:<.

BladeAngel is pretty bad from what my friends tell me.

GaurdianSoul I can't say.

Zenonia is pretty good, I recommend it as well since it's pretty well made.

Hybrid is way too boring.

Elimination isn't worth it unless you can't get N.O.V.A(Which is WAY better, and I'de rather fork out 7$s than pay for a cash shop on an iPod game...)

Cartoon Wars Gunners is pretty entertaining. Once you get everything and upgrade stuff it gets boring but there's still more to do afterwards.

N.O.V.A is the best Shooter on the Touch.

CoI2 is good. don't get the first one just get the second one. even has online modes.

Blade Master is also pretty boring after awhile.



Get a 16 GB from the iPod store itself, or from Wal Mart or some cheap *** place on sale.

My App Suggestions would be-


Doom Port for the iPod Touch (Classic) It's honestly one of the best ports of Doom Ever. Suffers from a LITTLE bit of bad controls but no really.

Inotia 2 Classic Level up type RPG with a bit of an online Mode.

DDR S if you like DDR.

Ghosts'n Goblins Honestly it's in a way like the old one - a few bad controls. and the game is as challenging.

DoodleJump, because it's addictive and fun.

The Sims 3 if you like the Sims. Lacks alot of features in a way though.

TapDefense if you like Tower Defense.

Colosseum if you like large amounts of weapon choices.

N.O.V.A because it's the best FPS on the Touch.

GTA China Town Wars. It's literally the DS/PSP game. and it's 1/6th the price and just as fun.

Yeah I don't like the graal app myself, but it's free.

Bladeangel isn't bad. It might be a little short though compared to the other apps.

Not gonna lie, there's better apps than Guardian Soul. Has a lot to keep you busy for a while.

Yeah I would just suggest a normal MP3 unless you get around lots of wi-fi spots. If you know a lot of hotspots then you actually get some decent speed on the iTouch for web browsing and youtube.

Go to the software's site and read about it, I am not going to walk you through everything when all you need to do is click and then read the site.

Id go for the largest size you could afford.
8gb would barely fit my music, let alone apps.

I dont know how much music you ahve, but if you are thinking about getting one, it should be a lot, more then can fit on any knock off one.

Screw this, I'll just upgrade my PC... impulse buying FTL.
