NAT Types, UPNP.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem.

Even though I have UPNP enabled both on my router and my PS3, my NAT type is still 3. This makes my online gaming experience very faulty at times.

I have done port forwarding but that does not help.

Any ideas?

Check if the ports on your router are indeed accessable.

If they are, reduce router firewall settings.

How do I go about doing this?

This app would help. It's for on the PC though, but I'm sure when the ports unlocked on the PC it'll be unlocked for the PS3 too.

If your router has a firewall built in, search for it. It can be under internet options or security.

I've tried the program, ports read as not open.

Disabled my firewall and the router's firewall, ports were still not open.


I give up.
