My mom loves watching videos, perhaps you could teach her how to use YouTube? Like, how to search for videos and subscribe to them. Tell her how she can search for her favorite artists, songs, etc.

I mean, my mom didn't really know how to use YouTube, so I had to teach her. Not sure about your mom.

rocket dock for easy access to programs (make sure you lock the bar and ground it to the floor)
Antivirus if you haven't
maybe a music/video player and some songs?
linux just in case she does do something and you need an os to change it O.O
and if the laptop doesn't have a cd player, get magicdisc
make sure you also get winrar/7-zip
skype maybe and a camera for oovoo?

I was thinking of maybe making some instructional videos on how to do things on the internets...but IDK. Should I use that "hypercam" program? That seems to be the most common one that I see.
